Who We Are

Matthew Lutz, MACP, RCC

I work with people feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, identity shifts, or ongoing relationship stress. They may feel stuck between who they are and who they want to be, carrying emotional weight they haven’t had space to process. They want clarity, steadiness, and a place where they can slow down, feel understood, and begin making meaningful, sustainable change at a pace that feels safe.

I help clients untangle complex emotions, rebuild confidence, and understand the patterns shaping their lives. With an integrative, calm, and collaborative approach, I support adults and adolescents through trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, and major life transitions while offering steady, grounded therapeutic guidance.

In my work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I draw on current findings in neuroscience and integrate a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Alderian therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), exposure therapy, person-centered therapy, self-compassion strategies and a range of experiential, strengths-based interventions.

Outside of my work, I find joy in spending time with my wife and sons. We often end up gathered around a board game or working on a Lego project together—simple moments that help me slow down and reconnect. I also love being outdoors and travelling with my family.

Meaningful connection is important to me, and I cherish time with close friends, including a monthly “Dads-only” board-game night complete with themed snacks. I love outrageously loud socks, and unapologetically odd-but-festive holiday sweaters.

Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to navigate things alone. If you’re longing for clarity, healing, or a steadier way forward, I’m here to help you explore your journey at your pace. When you’re ready, I’d be honoured to walk beside you.
